I absolutely love this book! It is a wonderful story about a little mouse picking a strawberry and trying to hide the strawberry from the big hungry bear. The illustrations are a delight and help to tell the story. I love the expressions on the little mouse. When my children were younger we read this story almost every night. When I would say "BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!" in my loud voice, the girls would join in and giggle. My children especially loved the disguise used by the little mouse (glasses, bushy eyebrows, moustache) and worn by the strawberry. I loved that my girls were able to memorize the simple text. I highly recommend other stories by Don and Audrey Wood for your book collection.
